Tieguanyin is a type of Oolong tea that has regularly topped many lists describing China’s most famous teas. It is characterized by its green color, outstanding orchid fragrance and nectar sweet taste. The tea plant of Tieguanyin was originally discovered in the Xiping village of Anxi County in the 18th century. Tie means iron in Chinese, while Guanyin refers to the Goddess of Mercy, the Chinese equivalent of Buddhist deity Avalokitesvara (Tibetan name Chenrezig), the Lord of compassion and love.

Brewing Instructions
- Tea leaf: 5 – 10 g / 0.17 – 0.35 oz
- Temperature: 95 ℃ / 203 °F
- Teapot
- Can be re-steeped 4 to 6 times
Steep 30 seconds for the first brew , 40 seconds for the second and another 50 seconds for the third.
