This Red Clay Teapot is fully handmade from authentic Chaozhou Red Clay. This means that no moulds were used in the production process but instead, each pot is carefully designed by eye and carefully crafted by hand, with the aid of manual tools to attain the highest level of precision and details for these pots.
Each pot is individually crafted, elevating them to the pinnacle of Clay Pots. Each of them have their own unique characteristics.
*Please be advised that any gun-metal black colours on the pot are a natural part of the clay-firing process and does not represent any faults with the clay or the production process.

Chaozhou Red Clay (Hong Ni)
Chaozhou Red Clay has more than 6000 years of history, and started gaining popularity during the Tang and Song dynasties as the clay of choice for cookware and kettles of boiling water. The clay is mined in the Fengxi area near Chaozhou in Guangdong Province. Chaozhou Red Clay takes on a deep red-orange colour after firing, hence its name.
